Bluegrass Land Title has expanded its services to include residential real estate closings throughout the greater Cincinnati area. This expansion represents a natural next step for our Northern Kentucky office, which opened with the anticipation of eventually serving clients on both sides of the Ohio River.

The Cincinnati market sits just across the river from our Northern Kentucky location, making it a logical extension of our existing operations. We're now fully licensed in both Kentucky and Ohio, allowing us to provide title and closing services to clients in either state without requiring them to work with multiple companies.

By expanding our services, we’re able to address a significant need among our existing client base. “Many real estate agents who are licensed in Northern Kentucky also hold Ohio licenses, allowing them to work transactions on both sides of the river. Previously, these agents had to maintain relationships with separate title companies for their Ohio transactions,” Alison Sheshull, Director of Business Development at Bluegrass Land Title, explains. “Now they can work with Bluegrass Land Title for all their closings, regardless of where the property is located.”

Similarly, lenders operating in the Cincinnati market typically work with borrowers purchasing homes in both Kentucky and Ohio. Our expanded licensing allows these lending partners to refer clients to a single, trusted title company for closings throughout the region. 

Title and Closing Services in Ohio

All Ohio transactions are processed through our Northern Kentucky office, where our escrow team handles every aspect of the closing process. We also have multiple closers who are licensed to perform closings in Ohio. 

While our Ohio clients are always welcome to close at our Northern Kentucky location, we understand that convenience matters. “We've partnered with CoHatch to provide five conference room locations across Cincinnati where we can conduct our real estate closings. We're also happy to travel to your real estate office or lender's location if that’s easier for you,” Sheshull says. 

Our current focus centers on serving clients throughout the greater Cincinnati area, although we plan to expand our Ohio service area in the near future. Ohio clients who need closings in other parts of the state, such as Columbus, can still take advantage of our closing services through a mobile notary and other remote closing options. Our new Ashland, Kentucky, location will also allow us to serve clients across the border in southeastern Ohio. 

Bluegrass Land Title is already planning to open a permanent, brick-and-mortar location in Cincinnati in the near future. Sheshull says, “We hope to open this location in late 2026 or early 2027.”
